24 hours at the firehouse.

I finally went on a 24 hour ride along with my dad! I hit up Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 216 in the heart of Watts, LA. What an experience. It was incredible seeing my dad work – the guy is a machine! He drives engine 9, so I pretty much stuck with him all day. In the morning though, I rode on the squad and in the ambulance. There weren’t any fires, but we did go on three false alarms. When the station gets a fire call, the engines are rolling out of the station in about 15 seconds. Then in the back, the fireman gets dressed in full gear while my dad maneuvers the engine through Watts. It’s so intense.

I have more pictures coming, but in the meantime, enjoy these!
